Aleksei Balabanov R.I.P.

This drawing (from Y2K) was heavily inspired by Of Freaks and Men by Aleksei Balabanov R.I.P. It's about pornographers in St. Petersburg around 1900 and how they bring about the downfall of a wealthy bourgeois family. He did many other fascinating films, like Brat, Morphia, the brutal Cargo 200, A Stoker and his swan song, Me Too (2012).

Love it! Haven't seen any of his films - this makes me want to see them.

They're highly recommended. Most of them, anyway.
